dc.description.abstractProducts of forestry sub-sector can be extractive and nonextractive. Sumedang district with a land area of 152,220 hectares is dominated by the agricultural sector amounted to 83.73%, including state forest lands and community forest by 36.24%. The extent of forest land allocation is an advantage for the forestry sub sector in Sumedang district. The results of the contribution analysis indicate that the forestry sub sector contributing 0.53 % - 0.73 % of GDP Sumedang district. Although a small contribution, but the forestry sub sector is a basic sector with value of LQ 3.42 - 5.76. Multiplier effect value of forestry sub sector in 2012 amounted to 45.67. This means that any additional income of Rp. Y in the forestry sub sector, resulting in additional revenue of 45.67 x Rp. Y to the total regional GDP of Sumedang district. SWOT analysis results indicate that suggested policy alternatives are to utilize the existing power to seize opportunities in the forestry sub-sector. Priority is determined using AHP method. As a result, the policy priority is the Development of Ecotourism (PE), followed by PHBM, RLK, PI.en
