Pertumbuhan Tanaman Sengon Buto (Enterolobium cyclocarpum Griseb.) dengan Teknik Lateral Root Manipulation (LRM) di PT Cibaliung Sumberdaya, Banten
Abstract
Mining activities have impacted to decrease soil productivity and soil compaction. Lateral Root Manipulation (LRM) is one technique that can be used overcome the stagnation of the plant. LRM technique is cutting off the lateral root. The purpose of this research to find the response from sengon buto in post gold mine land in PT Cibaliung Sumberdaya, Banten. This research was done by using the factorial randomized block design method with 3 factors. The first factor is lateral roots cutting, the second is root and microbe stimulant application, and the third is polymer fertilizing. The results indicate the treatment of lateral roots cutting by LRM technique, the root and microbe stimulant application, and fertilizing can stimulate the growth of stem diameter and height. The combination treatment of lateral roots cutting and root and microbe stimulant application is significant to diameter growth. Single method cutting lateral root is significant to height growth.
