Hydroxyapatite is a calcium phosphate compound that has a chemical structure similar to bone mineral . This research aims to synthesize hydroxyapatite using wise drop precipitation method. Sources of calcium were taken from the broiler chicken eggshells and domestic chicken eggshells; and (NH4)2HPO4 as a source of phosphate. Hydroxyapatite synthesis was done using 2 variations of drying process, the first drying process was not retained and the second drying process was retained for 5 hours. The result from XRD characterization showed that samples overall resulted in hydroxyapatite phase despite there were still phases of AKA and TCP. The crystal size of HA from domestic chicken eggshells is smaller than HA from broiler chicken eggshells. The characterization of SEM showed that of hydxyapatite samples morphology has oval shape that are dense and uniform, the particle size of HA from domestic chicken eggshells is smaller than the HA from broiler chicken eggshells. The smaller crystal and the particle size of HA means the better HA for reaction and solution in body tissues. Characterization of EDXA showed the calsium element from broiller eggshells is larger than that of domestic chicken eggshellsen
