dc.description.abstractThrips have been considered as one of important pests on high economical valued plants, such as ornamental plants, fruits, and vegetables. One of species thrips that attack chrysanthemum was Trips parvispinus. Thrips cause damage to the affected plants. One of the natural enemies for thrips is entomopathogenic fungi. This study aims was to determine species diversity and population thrips on chrysanthemum plants, as well as the presence of entomopathogenic fungi. Thrips populations on flower were counted by tapping at top part of flowers on the white trays. Sampled thrips were put on 70% alcohol on eppendorf tube. Squash mounted microscope were made to determine entomophthoralean fungi on thrips. Thrips species which found were Frankliniella intonsa and Thrips parvispinus. Fungus infected thrips were founded during observation.en
