dc.description.abstractLesson scheduling is a job that takes a good deal of time, especially at SMA Insan Cendekia Al Kausar Sukabumi. This study aims at building a computer-based scheduling system using genetic algorithm. The process of genetic algorithm in this study starts with representation of SMA Insan Cendekia Sukabumi timetable into a chromosome that is composed of genes. This process is followed by crossover, mutation, selection, elitism and population replacement of the previous generation. The usage of probability crossover (Pc) of 0.9 and probability of mutation (Pm) of 0.1 turned out to produce the largest fitness value. The data derived from the chromosome with the largest fitness value then used as the lesson schedule.en
