The objective of this research was to analyze the chemical composition of cajuputi oil from various production centers and examine the activities of cajuputi oil from various production centers as the Aedes aegypti mosquito larvicides. The essential oils of cajuputi were tested at 0; 62.5; 125; 250; 500; and 1000 μg/mL concentrations against the third instar larvae of Aedes aegypti. Larval mortalities, LC50 values were observed after 24 hours of exposure. This experiment showed that the cajuput oil from Pasuruan-East Java was found with the highest LC50 followed consecutively by Gundih, Dlingo, Gelaran, Indramayu and Buru island. Based on phytochemical analysis, major compounds identified in the cajuput oil were α-terpinene, α-pinene, β-pinene, γ-pinene, cineole, α-terpinolene, terpineol, caryophyllene, α-humulene, α-muurolene, α-selinene and α-terpinenyl acetat. Larvicidal activity of the oil was brought about by the presence of α-terpinene, terpinolene and γ-terpinene.en
