      PENGENDALIAN PENCEMARAN SUNGAI CIUJUNG BERDASARKAN ANALISIS DAYA TAMPUNG BEBAN PENCEMARAN

      Abstract
      Permasalahan krusial di bagian hilir Sungai Ciujung yang berada di Wilayah Kabupaten Serang adalah bertambahanya beban pencemaran air. BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) merupakan salah satu indikator pencemaran air. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya tampung beban pencemaran (DTBP) sebagai dasar dalam penetapan strategi pengendalian pencemaran sungai. Daya tampung beban pencemaran BOD ditetapkan dengan pemodelan kualitas air menggunakan WASP (water quality analysis simulation program) dan hasilnya dibandingkan dengan kriteria mutu air sungai sesuai PP 82/2001. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada saat debit rencana lingkungan menggunakan debit minimum 3 m3/s, kualitas air Sungai Ciujung yang memenuhi kriteria mutu air kelas IV adalah sepanjang 13,75 km dengan DTBP 2.119,6 kg BOD/hari dan bagian hilir sepanjang 18 km tidak memenuhi. Alternatif strategi pengendalian pencemaran air Sungai Ciujung yang dapat dilakukan berdasarkan hasil simulasi adalah dengan meningkatkan debit untuk aliran pemeliharaan ekologi pada probabilitas 95% sebesar 9,12 m3/s dan reduksi beban pencemaran dari sumber pencemaran terpusat dan tersebar masing-masing sebesar 80%.
       
      Crucial issue at the downstream of Ciujung River is the increasing load of water pollution. BOD is one of the water pollution parameter in the stream. This study was aimed to determine the amount of Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) in Ciujung River as a basis for determiningriver pollution control strategies. TMDL of BOD was determined by modeling WASP (Water quality Analysis Simulation Program) and the results were compared with the standard streams due to PP 82/2001. The results showed that the water quality of Ciujung River at the time of the discharge environment using minimum flow 3 m3/s meets the river standard of 4th class along the 13,75 km with average TMDL was 2.119,6 kg/day and the area that was not met the quality standards was along 18 km. Alternative strategies of water pollution control in Ciujung River can be done is increase the reliable discharge for ecological preservation at 95% probability (9,12 m3/second) and the reduction of pollution load from point source and non point source respectively at 80 %.
