dc.description.abstractType 1 Diabetes is a case where beta cell in pancreas cannot produce insulin properly. On a type 1 diabetes case, some insulin had to be added into the bloodstream. This simulation used Hovorka equations and ODE 45 methods in MATLAB. To know the amount of dosage for insulin that a type 1 diabetes case need, also how the kinematics and dynamics look like for the glucose rate in the bloodstream can be done by using this simulation. Some variation on the amount of insulin, injection time and weight had been done to get the optimum result of glucose rate in the bloodstream. The result from this simulation is a 70 kg weigh need insulin injection in the morning for about 2 dL, and 21 dL each for afternoon and night times, all of injection time is an hour after eating.en
