Pengaruh Asal Bahan dan Media Stek terhadap Keberhasilan Stek Pucuk Tembesu [Fagraea fragrans (Roxb.) Miq]
Abstract
Fagraea fragrans known as tembesu is a tree species used for wood panel (MDF, medium density fiberboard), particle board, veneer and furniture. This study aimed to determine successful growth of shoot cuttings and material F. fragrans and to study the effect treatment combination the origin of cutting material and media. KOFFCO system is used for shoot cuttings F. fragrans. The results showed that the cutting material from juvenile shoot the higher percentage of shoot sprouting, survived and rooted are sprouted 61.56%; 91.42% and 76.33%. In addition, the seed material cuttings provide a very real effect on root length and root wet weight, shoot wet weight, root dry weight and shoot dry weight. The increasing age of the parent tree, diminishing cuttings success. The media cuttings cocopeat (coir dust) with paddy husk gives significant effect on root length parameter, root wet weight and very real effect at parameter root dry wet. There are interaction between the cuttings material with media cuttings, like root length parameter, root wet weight and root dry weight.
