Deforestation and forest degradation are the main problems that affect the accumulation of Green House Gas at the atmosphere. This study describes the development of deforestation tipology on the basis social economic factor at several districts in Jambi Province using clustering method, i.e. Standardized Euclidean Distance. The baseline of deforestation was developed on the basis of timeseries of forest and land cover maps and satellite imagineries from 1990 to 2011. This study found that deforestation typology is significantly affected by population growth, as well as the needs of the agricultural land and plantations (including rubber/oil). This research also found that the baseline model are Lh = (2 x10235) Th-69.49 for predicting forest area with deforestation considered and Lh=(2x10247)Th-69.49 for predicting forest area without deforestation considered (zero deforestation).en
