Struktur Tegakan dan Sebaran Jenis Jelutung dan Tumih di Hutan Rawa Gambut (Studi Kasus di Kawasan Hutan Lindung Gambut Lahai, Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah)

Abstract

Jelutung (Dyera costulata) and Tumih (Combretocarpus rotundatus) are recognized as main tree species in peat swamp forest. This Study was aimed to determine stand structure and distribution of jelutung and tumih, and to determine the existence and growth indicator of jelutung and tumih in their natural habitat. The research was conducted in June 2010 at Lahai Peat swamp forest, Central Kalimantan Province. Stem diameter of trees 10 cm up was recorded using vegetation analysis method in sampling plots size of 100 mx 100 m which was devided into sub plot of 25 m x 25 m. the results shows that total number of trees species is 41 species in Permanent Sampling Plot (PSP) 1 and 49 species in PSP 2. However, the abundance of jelutung and tumih species is less than 12% from the tree total number growing in the Lahai peat swamp forest . Both of Jelutung and Tumih grow in the uniform pattern in which the distribution pattern of their stand structure did not follow usual form
