dc.description.abstract | Perum Perhutani is the State Owned Enterprise which manages state forests in Java. It manages the forests with teak as the main stands. This research aims to determine the optimal rotation for normal forest of teak (Tectona grandis L.f) by using financial analysis of NPV (Net Present Value). The data that used in this research are the WvW Tables, the price of teak timber, the forest management costs, the width of productive area and basal area of KPH Nganjuk Perhutani Unit II of East Java in 2005. The rotation is selected when NPV reaches maximum value. NPV is calculated by the following equation, [ ( ) - - ] . By using interest rate of 2.5 %, productive area 13,710.8 ha, and management costs Rp2 450 451 per ha, the optimal rotation is not found | en |
