Kajian Pemanfaatan Sumberdaya Hutan di Taman Nasional Gunung Halimun Salak oleh Masyarakat Sekitar

Abstract

Forest product utilization by communities in Taman Nasional Gunung Halimun Salak (TNGHS) faced the fact that TNGHS is one of the Conservation areas that are restricted by regulation. The utilization activities allowed only on certain zones.Meanwhile, local community has been utilized forest resources since long time ago, even before TNGHS established yet not known whether the utilization has been following the rules of TNGHS or not.Therefore, it is necessary to know the characteristics of forest utilizations by local community. Once known the characteristic of utilization by the public, then we could be formulated strategies for the utilization of forest products in a sustainable way.The utilization of forest products by the community around TNGHS especially in Hanjawar village, Majasarivillage and Kutajayavillage used used for daily needssuch as food needs, boards, medicines, household equipment, firewood and fodder. There are 103 species of forest products that are utilized. Utilization only done by local communities.The location of the utilization gone into the 5 zone namely special zone, jungle zone, rehabilitation zone, utilization zone and traditionalzone.
