dc.description.abstractCommunity-based captive breeding of bali starling had been initiated in Sumberklampok Village to encourage local people as the main actor of jalak bali conservation in order to manage sustainability of natural resources around them. The study aimed to describe collaborative practices and jalak bali captive breeding techniques that implemented by local community of Sumberklampok village was conducted on May-June 2013. Various data collected through interviews, direct observation and literature study were analyzed and explained descriptively. Result of study shows that collaboration has been firmly practiced among community, West Bali National Park, Yayasan SEKA, and Asosiasi Pelestari Curik Bali. The Manuk Jegeg is a specific local organization that acted as manager and liaison between the breeders and the other stakeholders. This organization advised by West Bali National Park, Yayasan SEKA and supported by Asosisasi Pelestari Curik Bali. Collaborative captive breeding of bali starling who focused on the role of the people running the technique captivity successfully created next generation of bali starling.en
