dc.description.abstractOne of forest functions is as an absorbent CO2 emission in the atmosphere that can increas the concentration of greenhouse gases and causes global warming. Total area of IUPHHK-HA PT. FCS is about 53,960.00 ha and 22,852.44 ha from total area is located in blok-C as the object of this research. This research aimed to estimate the potential volume, biomass, carbon stock and CO2 sequestration based on Periodical Comprehensive Forest Inventory (IHMB) on 2010. Estimating the potention are using stratified and non-stratified sampling method. Stratification is based on the land cover types which are virgin forest (14,654.31 ha) and logged over area (8,198.13 ha). Stratified methode has better accuracy results than nonstratified method. The estimation based on 3 level of stumpage potention which are pole, small trees and big trees obtain 5,478,498.45 m3 in total volume, 4,059,567.35 ton in total biomass, 1,907,996.65 ton in carbon stock and 7,002,347.72 ton in CO2 sequestration. These sampling errors are 8.00 % for pole, 4.84 % for small trees and 3.55 % for big trees.en
