| dc.description.abstract | Many concepts of eco-friendly living is keep implemented and provided due to provide the environment quality. green facade is the popular way to make green space which is provided by vegetation, the most important component of sustainable environment. This concept provides the advantages of ecology and the quality of environmental aesthetic. Green facade in this research is specialized to the appliance of vines vegetation plantation on a vertical sides. Green facade can be applied directly to the walls or indirectly to the walls by using supporting structures. The focus of this research is to analize the ability of green facade to improve the environment aesthetic quality. This research would like to see the effect of many kinds and forms of green facade applied to a house to the aesthetic quality by simulation. This research tests six concepts of green facade with many kinds of plant species and supporting structures. By the result of the research with Scenic Beauty Estimation (SBE) Method, known that green facades significantly contribute the aesthetic quality of house. The high dense cover vines, with flower vines, and with supporting structure vines (linear, grid, and espalier) have the high aesthetic quality. On the other side, Semantic Differensial Method shows that green facade provides the impression of dinamic, variative, and the aesthetic of the house. | en |
