dc.description.abstractJakarta Provincial Government determine that the proportion of green open space is as much as 30% Jakarta Province land area. It is stated in The Regional Spatial Plan of Jakarta that was enacted in 2012 and prevail to 2030. The objectives of this research are to analyze the results of land cover classification changes using Landsat ETM + imagery in Jakarta Province, and to compare the classification result toward the green open space area in The Regional Spatial Plan of Jakarta between 2000 and 2012. The result showed that land cover changes in Jakarta mostly happens on the green open space area, which declined by 16.3%. Land suitability analysis of green open space that set out in the Regional Spatial Plan of Jakarta compared to the classification results showed that the proportion of Jakarta green open space in 2000 reached 36%, while for 2004 and 2012 the precentage of green open space as much as 27.5% and 25.5% , this results is not in accordance with the standard of green open space in Jakarta Regional Spatial Plan described in DKI Jakarta Provincial Regulation No. 1 of 2012, that is equal to 37.8%en
