dc.description.abstract | Some of the causes of Urban Heat Island are the increasing of developed area and decreasing of green open space. Both of them determine the surface albedo in the region. Surface albedo is the ratio of reflected short-wave radiation to the coming short-wave radiation. The higher albedo of an object the more surface temperature lowers. In addition, the material of an object also determines surface temperature. Albedo measurement was done by photographing objects using a camera with a fixed illumination level treatment. The pixel data have converted into albedo by used Microsoft Excel spread sheet. The albedo values of bauhinia were about 80-90% with average values of albedo were 83%, while albedo values of bintaro ranged 70-80% with average values of albedo were 75%, gmelina ranged 80-90% with average values of albedo were 85%, teak ranged 90-100% with average values of albedo were 95%. The surface temperature of bauhinia vegetation is 33 ºC, while bintaro is 36 ºC, gmelina is 35 ºC, and teak is 35 ºC. | en |
