dc.description.abstractBanten Lama is one of the great Islamic empires in the nation. It is located in the north coast of Banten, Kasunyatan Subdistrict, Serang Regency and City of Serang, Banten Province. Banten Lama was once the international port city of an Islamic empire that later collapsed in the 19th century. The long journey of the Banten Lama produced historical heritages site that reflects the glory of the past, among of them are Surosowan Palace, the Great Mosque of Banten, Kaibon Palace, Fort Speelwijk, Tasikardi Lake, Chinatown High Site Mosque, Vihara Alokitesvara, and other various artifacts that came from within and outside the old city. Conservation efforts in the region have been carried out since 1967, from the excavation activity until the determination of the status of heritage objects in each historical heritages site. Efforts to introduce historical value to the public is also done by making the region a tourism destination, however degradation caused by tourism activities makes it necessary to form a landscape plan that can meet the needs of tourism attractions and historical preservation of this site. The purpose of this study is to identifiey historical landscape character, to analize aspects relating the preservation of the landscape, and to plan a historical landscape tourism. This study used methods based on Simonds and Starke (2006) which includes preparation stage, inventory, analysis, synthesis and planning stage. This research also used historical approach to produce a plan that can support historical preservation aspect of the site and it's historical objects. The final results of this research is presented with a landscape plan which is described more with detailed plans that includes illustrations to give a clear picture of the site's situation. The landscape plan also explains it's conservation plan, spatial tourism plan, activities and facilities plan, and the circulation as interpretation circulation which allows travelers to access the historical tourism sites.en
