dc.description.abstractQuery fever (Q fever) is a disease caused by Coxiella burnetii agent. The aim of this research was to determine the gross pathology and histopathology of Coxiella burnetii infection in the spleen and liver of mice (Mus musculus) which were infected by Coxiella burnetii after twice passage in hamster (Mesocricetus auratus) using immunohistochemistry methods. In this research the gross pathology of liver and spleen showed hepatomegaly, and splenomegaly. The histopathological change of liver showed hepatocyte degeneration, necrose, and infiltration of inflammatory cells. The histopathological change of spleen showed inflammation which characterized by the white pulp depletion, red pulp hemorrhage, and infiltration of inflammatory cell. The results showed positive Coxiella burnetii in the spleen and liver.en
