Studi patologi Q fever pada hewan kurban sapi di wilayah Jakarta Timur dan Jakarta Selatan

Abstract

Query fever (Q fever) is one of the dangerous zoonoses. This research was to determined the existence of Coxiella burnetti, the agent of Q fever, in sacrificial cattle for Eid Adha in East and South Jakarta in 2011 and 2012. Ten samples of liver and seven samples of lung taken during Eid Adha in 2011 and 2012. The existence of Coxiella burnetii was determined by using immunohistochemistry stain. Histopahology of liver sample and lung sample was determined using Hematoxylin Eosin stain. This studi showed that one liver sample from South Jakarta in 2012 were positive Q fever and other samples were negative Q fever based on immunohistochemistry stain. All organ showed inflammatory cells, congestion and fibrosis.
