Unavoidable problems by any person are making a decision. There are alternative option that can be compared one to the others in making a decision. Relationship that may be established when comparing two alternatives is namely preference and indifference relations. Socially optimal choice function (SOCF) is analysis to combine some individual preferences or interests to get a collective decision. The purpose of this manuscript is to apply the SOCF in dominant strategies. Supposed n students apply for scholarship. Each student has different supervisors and there is one scholarship per student. So the number of applicants, supervisors and scholarships is similiar. The ranking of students will be determined by a jury consist of all supervisors. True ranking of students has been determined by all supervisors. Supervisors’s preference is influenced by true ranking. The outcome of SOCF is the accepted scholarship appropriate by true ranking. It has been proven that if n = 3 then the SOCF cannot be implemented in dominant strategies.
