| dc.description.abstract | The Male Dormitory Building of First Preparation Level (TPB) Students is one of the big buildings in Bogor Agricultural University campus. Information on this dormitory building is very important for the prospective new students and their parents who need to know the description of this dormitory. This research developed a virtual reality application to show the Male Dormitory Building in 3D visualization. This application was made by utilizing Google SketchUp, 3Ds Max, and Adobe Director. Google SketchUp was used for creating the basic objects in the building. The texturing, lighting, and animation of these basic objects were done in 3Ds Max. Then, the resulted animation was equiped with Graphical User Interface (GUI) from Adobe Director. The final system is a Desktop Virtual Reality System. This system has been successfully tested to the user and has been proven to be able to display a virtual 3D shape of the Male Dormitory Building. | en |
