Kontribusi Kegiatan Wisata Di Desa Blimbingsari terhadap Kelestarian Taman Nasional Bali Barat

Bali Barat National Park (BBNP) is located adjacent to several villages, which lead to the occurrences of natural resources used by the community. One of the village is Blimbingsari village. The community takes firewood and grasses from the forest, and conducts livestock herding in forest area. BBNP had developed tourism activites since 2010 to reduce the use of natural resources. Tourism can give provide change in relation to the aspects of tourism, job, income, and community interaction with the forest. This study was conducted from Mei until June 2013. The result showed that tourism activity in Blimbingsari village experienced development in the sense of its tourism attractions, programs, and management. People’s side changed 100% from forest encroachers to tourism sevices providers. Tourism provided side income for the people. People’s income from forest encroachment was higher than tourism income with Rp 89 466 difference, while the total income with tourism increased to Rp 223 659/month. Community interaction with BBNP area had changed from exploitation conservation.
