| dc.description.abstract | Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) which is located in Dramaga, Bogor, West Java has a wide area and has a lot of lecture halls. This has caused many residents of IPB, especially new students have difficulties knowing every location of the lecture halls. Today, GIS technology has been integrated with mobile devices such as Android to ease developer to build an interactive mobile GIS application. The purpose of this study is to develop a mobile-based geographical information system for lecture halls in IPB Dramaga with Android platform that can provide location information using linear sequential model. this research resulted in a mobile GIS application that can display a map from Google Maps which has been added with locations of lecture halls in IPB selected by the user. This application also provide information about distance and signpost between the lecture halls locations and the user location. Another feature is to display information of the lecture halls as images of the lecture halls, faculties, and the building where the lecture halls exist. | en |
