The present study was conducted to investigate effectiveness of a simple portable CO2 incubator for embryo production (IVEP) of mouse embryo by in vitro. In an attempt to determine the culture system was using CO2 gas produced from effervescent powder that approaches a standard CO2 incubator condition (5- 6%) (B), than embryos were examine at condition with a dose of effervescent formulations below (A), and upper (C) dose of normal condition. In vitro development rates of mouse embryos cultured in the portable CO2 incubator were not significantly different from the standard (control) CO2 incubator in a variety of treatment, which shows that mouse embryos can growth as well as in these conditions. Although there were no significant differences between the two systems in terms of embryos development, but there was a significantly differences for CO2 gas generated in situ in three treatments were compared with standard CO2 incubator (control). Concentration of CO2 gas in situ in a portable CO2 incubator was higher (P<0.05) than control (5.02 ± 0.08366%) for C (6.74 ± 0.24083%) treatment, but lower than control for A (2.22 ± 0.08366%) and B (4.46 ± 0.05477%) treatments. The present study indicates that a portable CO2 incubator is a useful device for in vitro mouse embryos production. Further studies using this portable incubator system are needed to determine the optimum levels of O2, CO2, and air pressure.
