Narelle is a tropical cyclone which started on January 8 and decayed on January 14 2013 and took place in the Southern Hindia Ocean near the Nusa Tenggara Timur to the west of Australian coasts. The objective of this research is to analyze the relationship of surface heat flux with a cyclones Narelle 2013. The strength of relationship between surface heat flux and Narelle cyclone parameter is evaluated using a correlation coefficient. WRF model is, then, utilized to generate meteorological parameters which are responsible in the formation of the cyclone at its earliest stage. The parameters include pressure, surface sensible heat flux, surface latent heat flux, wind speed and SST. The result shows that surface latent heat flux is related to SST in the formation of Narelle cyclone with correlation coefficient of 0.89 and surface sensible heat flux is related to the wind speed with a correlation coefficient of 0.88en
