dc.description.abstract | This study is aimed to evaluate the effect of slag and its combination with trass to soil chemical properties and yield of rice crop (Oryza sativa) planted on peat soil and its efficiency against conventional fertilizers. The study was conducted with the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) model consisting of: standard fertilization (100% recommendation dosage), slag, and combination of slag and trass. Doses of slag as a single treatment were 2, 4, 6 %, whereas doses at combination of slag and trass were (0 + 5)%, (1.25-+3.75)%, (2.5 +2.5)%, (3.75 +1.25)%, and (0 +5)%. Each treatment consists of 4 (four) replicates. The results indicated that the soil pH, availability of P, K, Ca, and Mg and plant nutrient uptake of N, P, K, and Si both single and combination treatment were higher than controls and standards. Plant uptake and fertilizer efficiencies of N, P, and K was highest at 6% treatment. Slag of 6% had highest production (Weight of Grain and Filled Grain) than other treatments. | en |
