dc.description.abstractCommunity living around Gunung Sibela Nature Reserve depend on its products mainly to fulfill their needs. They develop knowledge to utilize forest resources including Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFPs). The objectives of this research are to describe people’s knowledge of NTFPs and explaining factors that influence pattern of NTFPs utilization. The method used in this research was survey. Data were collected with interview, observation, and secondary data collection. The results show that NTFPs collected by local people comprises of medicinal plants, yarn and handcraft-produce plants, crops, ornamental plants, and group of hunted animals. They utilize NTFPs to fulfil their daily needs and earn more income. Age, education, and work do not influence pattern of NTFPs utilization by local peopleen
