The cassava mealybug, Phenacoccus manihoti Matile-Ferrero (Hemiptera: Pseudococcidae), has been reported as a new invasive pest causing heavy damage on cassava in Indonesia since 2010. Study was conducted in laboratory with the objectives to determine the biology and life table parameters of the mealybug as feeding on cassava plants. P. manihoti is parthenogenic species, producing only female offspring. The eggs hatched 7-8 days after oviposition. Nymphal instar-1, - 2, -3 lasted 4.58, 4.20, 4.58 days, respectively. Adult female mean longevity was 34.38 days, with an average fecundity was 570 eggs. The intrinsic rate of increase (rm) was 0.213 female offspring per female per day. The mean generation time (T) was 28.48 days and the net reproductive rate (Ro) during this period was 456.02. The finite rate of increase (λ) was 1.24 times per days and the population doubling time (Dt) was 3.22 days.en
