This research aims to develop an allometric equation biomass of keruing tree (Dipterocarpus sp) which is the commercial and dominant species in forest concessions area, Siberut Island, West Sumatera. The allometric equation is indispensable to estimate tree biomass in forest carbon stock inventory. As many as 30 keruing trees on various size of diameter cutdown for drafting purpose of the allometric equation of keruing tree. The best allometric equation to estimate above ground biomass of keruing tree is the equation using two variables such as diameter and high of free branch is B_Tot = 152 - 4.88Dbh + 0.0425Dbh2Hbc. But, for practically purposes, the B_Tot = exp (-1.75 + 2.43LnDbh) equation which uses only diameter variable is enough to estimate the keruing tree biomass. The allometric equation can be used to estimate biomass of keruing tree with a range of diameter 10-143 cm.en
