Penyusunan Tabel Volume Lokal Jenis Merbau (Intsia spp.) di Areal Kerja IUPHHK-HA PT. Arfak Indra Kabupaten Fakfak Provinsi Papua Barat
Abstract
Development of forest management plans required an accurate data and can be obtained quickly in the process of forest inventory. One of tool in forest inventory such as tree volume table made by equation and a mathematical model that describe relation between tree volume and pridictor variables. The purpose of this research is to develop tree volume table of Merbau (Intsia spp.). The local volume table can be applied in working area of IUPHHK-HA PT Arfak Indra, West Papua and only as well as other location that have some habitat conditions. This research tried three alternatives of mathematical models, such as Berkhout, Kopezky and Gehrhardt Horenald-Krenn model. The criterias of model selection is Standard Deviation (s), Coefficient of Determination (R2), Standard Deviation Aggregate (SA), Average Standard Deviation (SR), Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), and Predicted Residual of Sum Square (PRESS). The best estimate equation model is Berkhout equation. The Berkhout equation model is V = 0.00025 dbh2.33 with the values of s = 0.071, R2 = 97.5%, SA = -0.0240, SR = 13%, RMSE = 18%, PRESS = 0.514402.
