dc.description.abstractThe competitiveness of the local cattle industry is analyzed to determine the direction and development of supporting factors to achieve meat self-sufficiency program in 20 priority areas of local beef cattle. Methode used is the Industrial Competitiveness Index (ICI) which aims to combine multidimensional economic performance including profitability, productivity, and output growth, using 1999-2010 data series. The results show that the profitability and productivity of local cattle feedlot industry is not efficient and effective way to cultivate despite an upward trend. This caused the low competitiveness of feedlot industries of local beef cattle. Condition of low competitiveness is empirically illustrate that the local cattle feedlot industry is still not capable to achieve self-sufficiency of meat in the short term.en
