dc.description.abstractThe community forest is a model in small forest management scale that built by the community on the land property rights are aimed in producing wood. Besides economically aims to improve income and social welfare, the existence of the forest community also has potentially in carbon trading, so it necessary research to know the feasibility of the community forest in carbon trading participation. This research aimed to calculate potency volume of teak plantation community forest, potency of carbon absorption, and determine the profit from management of community forest with carbon trading mechanism. This research was located in community forest in Desa Dlingo, Kecamatan Dlingo, Kabupaten Bantul, Yogyakarta. Sampling method used purposive sampling and samples are Dusun Pakis II, Dusun Pokoh II and Dusun Dlingo II. The number of respondents in each group of farmers with sampling intensity (IS) 10% of the total membership of the farmers group. The potency of teak plantation community forest in Desa Dlingo by age 9 years obtained that volume potency of standing stock is 71,89 m3/ha. The carbon absorption potential of teak is 29,11 tonC/ha and the estimation of carbon dioxide absorption is 106,83 tonCO2/ha. The carbon trade scheme used voluntary carbon trading scheme Plan Vivo. The cost of carbon trading taken the sum of the transaction cost with the development of the forest cost and the maintenance of plants cost. The profit of carbon obtained from the revenue reduced by the costs in carbon trading. The carbon trading scheme in the community forest will get an additional profit are Rp 45.891.500/ha (10 USD/tonCO2); Rp 76.283.400/ha (15 USD/tonCO2) and Rp 106.675.400/ha (20 USD/tonCO2) for 15 years. This profit has not been added to the profit of wood is Rp 672.400.600/ha. Carbon trading in community forest using voluntary carbon trading scheme Plan Vivo will profitable than CDM scheme.en
