dc.description.abstractThis research aimed to determine 1) fisheries sector macro economic conditions, 2) the potential for sustainability and management of fisheries resources, 3) the potential and priorities for mitigation of disasters, 4) the fisheries development and the feasibility investment of disaster mitigation perspective, 5) institutions in fisheries development of disaster mitigation perspective and 6) formulate policy direction of tuna fisheries economy development based on disaster mitigation perspective. The analysis methods was conducted by Shift Share, Location Quotient, Minimum Requirement Approach, Bioeconomic Model, Exponential Comparison method (MPE), Investment feasibility analysis, stakeholder analysis, descriptive analysis and AHP techniques. The result showed that fisheries provide high contribution in macro economic analysis as the leading sectors of regional economic development. The analysis of bioeconomy, especially Tuna was bellow the optimal level, with the optimal management based on MEY management regimes showed that effort can be increase by 133 trip or equal as 33 tuna longliners and a production of 418.53 tons. The highest potential disaster on fisheries was earthquakes, tsunamis, strong winds, and waves. Strategies for mitigation priorities were (1) provision of GPS, APS, disaster information applications for fisherman, (2) provision of early warning and integrated information systems, also (3) establishment of building fishing ports and other infrastructure disaster mitigation perspective. Investment feasibility analysis showed longliner tuna productivity remains high as well as the addition of mitigation facilities, so the development of the business was feasible. Stakeholders involved in this policy were KKP, DKP and local government. This research concluded that appropriate policy strategies could be implemented in Padang city was optimization the production of sustainable fisheries resources through the provision of facilities for fisheries and mitigation perspective, also increase participation and synergy stakeholder to prosperity.en
