Preservation on Utilizating Takokak Fruit (Solanum torvum Swartz) in the Village of Gunung Leutik Ciampea Bogor

Abstract

The village of family Medicinal plants Conservation (TOGA) Gunung Leutik has made efforts to conserve on the utilization of takokak plant (Solanum Torvum Swartz) through farming activities. However, due to the low on utilization of takokak plant by communities, the presence of plants takokak are less noticed by the people, it causes that the rate of destruction of takokak plants, so that if this condition continue to take place hence felt concerned about in a moment this plant will experience of destruction .This research aims to identify the use of fruit that has been done by villagers, to know the the condition of the takokak plants and to know the status and condition of takokak plant, to measure the productivity in takokak fruit, and to formulate development programs on takokak plants in the village of Gunung Leutik Bogor.

Kampung Konservasi Tumbuhan Obat Keluarga (TOGA) Gunung Leutik telah melakukan upaya pelestarian pemanfaatan tumbuhan takokak (Solanum torvum Swartz) melalui kegiatan pembudidayaan. Namun akibat rendahnya pemanfaatan tumbuhan takokak oleh masyarakat, keberadaan tumbuhan takokak kurang diperhatikan oleh masyarakat. Hal ini menyebabkan tingkat pemusnahan terhadap tumbuhan takokak menjadi tinggi sehingga apabila kondisi ini terus berlangsung maka dikhawatirkan suatu saat tumbuhan ini akan mengalami kepunahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pemanfaatan buah takokak yang dilakukan masyarakat, mengetahui status dan kondisi tumbuhan takokak, mengukur produktivitas buah takokak, dan merumuskan program pengembangan tumbuhan takokak yang ada di Kampung Gunung Leutik Bogor.
