| dc.description.abstract | This research aimed to: 1) obtain information about the activities of the management of pine forests, 2) identify the characteristics of the tappers, 3) analyze the contribution of income from pine resin tapping on total household income of tappers, 4) analyze the variables affect income from pine resin tapping activity, and 5) obtain information regarding the level of welfare tappers. The research was conducted in April 2012 held at RPH Karangpucung, BPKH Lumbir, KPH Banyumas Barat, Perum Perhutani Unit I Jawa Tengah. Sampling method used purposive sampling with the number of respondents is 60 people. Data analysis was performed by correlation analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, and the poverty line approach. Contribution of pine resin tapping against eavesdroppers on household income area <0,5 hectare is 37,88%; 0,5-0,99 hectare is 53,71%; 1-1,49 hectare is 73,76%; 1,5-1,99 hectare is 67,53%; and 2-2,49 hectare is 93,32%. The results showed that the income from pine resin tapping and pine resin tapping area have positive correlation to contribution of income from tapping, whereas the income from non resin tapping has negative correlation to contribution of income from resin tapping. The variables that affect the amount of income from pine tapping are work experience, pine resin collection frequency, and weight of pine resin. According Sajogyo poverty line, approximately 56,67% tappers are above the poverty line (welfare), while according to the World Bank poverty line, about 38,33% tappers are above the poverty line (welfare). | en |
