The Reproduction performans of Cross Boer Goat’s (Jawarandu-Boer) “Case Study in PT Widodo Makmur Perkasa, Province of Lampung).

Abstract

This case study aimed at knowing the management and problems that often in the maintenance of the Cross Boer goat, identify the level of the precnancy in the natural breeding and artificial insemination, and to know the appearance of the Cross Boer goat reproduction. This study was carried on November 2007 until July 2008, based on the method survey descriptive with the primary data collection through the interview from several staff in PT Widodo Makmur Perkasa. The other data was collect from the available data in PT Widodo Makmur Perkasa. The data that was received afterwards was analysed qualitatively. The observation showed that level success of the Conseption Rate value (CR) or the level success of the reproduction by means of being natural breeding was higher (83%) compared with the Artificial Insemination method (70%). The Service per Conseption (S/C) of i natural breeding is 1,2 and the Artificial Insemination is 1,4. This data showed that S/C of Artificial Insemination is higher than Natural Breeding.
