| dc.description.abstract | Mortality is one of the three demographic components, namely mortality, fertility, and migration. Life table can be constructed mathematically to give a description of mortality. Life table is also needed to determine insurance premiums. Being insured can reduce losses caused by accidents, because insurance is a product of planning for the future. In general, life table is constructed based on some health informations. But, certain selected health informations may result in different life table, which is called select-and-ultimate table. The purpose of this paper is to study and construct life table as well as select-and-ultimate table. Futhermore, select-and-ultimate table is applied to determine insurance premiums.
