dc.description.abstractMap in paper form is still used as device that can help to find a location in the earth. One of the most important map components is a map grid. This research is a software development for creating map grid that exist before. The pnrpose of this research is to create an application program, using System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) as method, that can make user easier to input data compared with the last application program that only permit user to input number of Indonesian Earth Surface Map (peta Rupa Bumi Indonesia) that made by The National Coordinating Agency For Surveys and Mapping (Bakosurtanal). The input data for this application program is a geographic coordinate value ofthe map. The result of map grid has coordinate projecting Universal Transverse Mercartor (UTM). This research also compares the grid result from the last application and the present one. The result shows that there have been a difference between the last application and the present one about 3.7 x 10·' % for each coordinate value. With that percentage, it can be concluded that the difference of the two results are not too significant.en
