Evaluasi Perseptual Kualitas Estetika dan Ekologi Objek Wisata Kebun Raya Cibodas

Abstract

The usage of Cibodas Botanical Garden as a recreation area, as well as a collection function with its natural beauty, can change the aesthetics and ecological quality of this garden. An aesthetics and ecological quality assessement with Scenic Beauty Estimation (SBE) and Semantic Differential methode were applied. Eleven area spreading over three zone (service area, collection area, and recreation area) had been assessed their quality and characteristic into three group i.e. good, fair, and bad. Some of them had been changed far enough from their nature. Lawn (recreation area) showed good aesthetics quality and Rhododendron Garden (collection area) have bad aesthetics quality. Result of the evaluation on ecological quality showed that almost all of vantage point in the garden showed good ecological quality except some areas such as Rhododendron Garden and Ciismun Waterfall that have bad quality. Some recommendation how to increase landscape intregrity of the Garden were elaborate on the basis of these research result.
