Gambaran Darah Merah Domba yang Disuperovulasi sebelum Kawin dan Disuntik hCG Hari ke-6 setelah Kawin pada Awal Kebuntingan.
Abstract
PMSG and hCG are hormones that are often used for superovulation. Superovulated ewes have different conditions from ewes without superovulation. This research was designed to study red blood cells count, hematocrit values, and hemoglobin levels of the superovulated sheep. Twenty one ewes weighing between 15 up to 25 kg were divided into 4 groups. The first group was control without superovulation and without hCG injection. The second group was superovulated before mating. The third group was given hCG on the 6th day after mating, and the fourth group was superovulated before mating and injected with hCG on the 6th day after mating. Blood samples were drawn from the jugular vein every 3 days during the early pregnancy. The result showed that superovulation prior to mating and hCG injection after mating did not affect red blood cells count, hematocit, and hemoglobin concentrations.
