| dc.description.abstract | Parenting has fundamental role in developing child character. While the information of parenting is crucial, yet the local sources of them remain few in Indonesia. Social network as the most popular online activity in Indonesia has a potential to be developed as information dissemination media of parenting. This research aims to develop a prototype of a virtual parenting social network which intent to be a media for Indonesia parents to share their parenting knowledge. It is conducted only for three years old parenting, using a holistic framework for social web application design and development called R4 framework. The method used for implementing the R4 Framework is Lean and Mean Methodology which has been adapted to this research resources and capacity. This research produced some guidelines and a prototype for further design and development of the virtual parenting social network. The guidelines included the characteristic of the target community, two main features, 25 basic functionalities as illustrated in a use-case diagram, a conceptual and logic database design, and also some business bases. | en |
