dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to identify the type of a parasitic worms and bacteria in gills and digestive tract of Bogor Enhanced Strain Tilapia Fish (Oreochromis niloticus) by conventional methods. A group of 10 fishes of sample BEST tilapia were used, each gills and digestive tract was collected. The parasitic worms were colored with KOH and clove oil for nematode worm, and Semichon’s Acetocarmine staining for trematode worms. Differentiations and characterizations of variants isolate were based on biochemical reactions and Gram staining technique. Parasitic worms that can be identified from gills were Dactylogyrus sp. and Pseudodactylogyrus sp., while parasitic worm from digestive tract was Anisakis sp. The bacteria result shows that the gills and digestive tract of BEST tilapia were predominantly contaminated with Aeromonas sp. and followed by Staphylococcus epidermidis and Streptococcus sp.en
