dc.description.abstractRice is the primary food for Indonesian people, more than 50% people needs of carbohydrate is fulfilled by rice. As the increasing population, the demand of rice is also increasing, for which attempts to increase rice production are crucial. One solution is to utilize technology, such as creating and developing simulation model. Crop simulation model that this research uses is SHIERARY rice model. This model is divided into three main submodels, water balance, development, and growth. To enable to use this simulation model widely, we need to do specific test to discover how proper this model is. This research is intended to find out how this model can represent the actual determining rice yield in different regions. To discover the accuracy of the model to simulate rice yield, we need to compare the actual value represented by data from Bureau of Statistics of rice yield against the output from the crop simulation model. We have found that the relationship between model output and the actual data of rice yield produces R2 = 39.5 %.en
