      Abstract
Linear regression models used to describe relationship between dependent variable and independent variables. In a educational research, data was used often have hierarchical structure or nested structure. In this research, independent variables can be defined at level of the hierarchy (School and student) but dependent variable can only be defined at the lowest level of the hierarchy (student). Multilevel regression models with random intercept was used. Variables that significantly influence to student’s mathematics achievement at 1-level are: belonging of calculator, mathematics is more difficult than for many classmates, and learning mathematics will help in daily life. School factor also influence to student’s mathematics achievement. Variables that significantly influence to student’s mathematics achievement are at 2-level is: percentage of students come from economically disadvantaged homes. Explained variance at student’s level is 0.59%, and at schools level is 1,57%. The correlation intra-class is 55.17%
