dc.description.abstract | The objectives of research are to assess primary commodities and selected fishing technologies of the small-pelagic fishes, and to anlyzed potensial areas as inputs in basic model to determine Minapolitan based on the small-pelagic fishes in Central Maluku distric. Result show that primary commodities are mackerel scads, smooth-tailed tervally, rainbow runner and shorted bodied mackerel. Selected fishing technologies cover drift gill net, straight line, purse seine and lift net. Several cores of the Minapolitan are based on the commodity of mackerel scads are Masohi city, Saparua and Salahutu areas; the commodity of smooth-tailed tervally covers Masohi city, Leihitu, Saparua and Salahutu; the commodity of rainbow runner covers Saparua, Leihitu, Salahutu, Nusalaut and Tehoru areas; and the commodity of shorted bodied mackerel covers Haruku Island and Tehoru. Position of the core area in this research is utilized as a basic to determine the core areas of Minapolitan. The basic model uses three main variables namely, (1) capacity of selected fishing technologies;(2) economic performance of fishery and; (3) sub system integration which forms the Minapolitan area. | en |
