      Abstract
      Air polution in Bekasi City is caused by 70% of transportation sector, 20% of industry sector, and 10 % domestic sector. Thus, in order to reduce air polution and improve the ambient air quality in Bekasi city , it needs to reduce air pollution produced either from tranportation or industrial sector. Based on the results of ambient air quality test along the roadside of Bekasi City during three periods in the year 2011, it showed that there are 2 parameters obtained which relatively increase, they are the TSP / dust and CO. For almost all parameters of CO along the observation points increased to the limit of specified quality standards. Parameters of TSP has highly increased throughout the year 2011. Almost TSP point exceed threshold quality standard (TQS). Based on the secondary data of CO concentration in 2010, the CO concentration is high in the morning and afternoon, and lower during the day and night. Ambient air quality in Bekasi city from 2009 to 2011 has decreased with increasing amount of tested pollutant concentrations, especially on the concentration of CO and TSP which have inclining done
