Intervention of Enrichment of Food and Nutrition Knowledge to Local Content Course for Junior High School In West Lampung Regency.
Abstract
Penelitian ini seCal'a umum bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh intervensi pengayaan pengetahuan pangan dan gizi melalui mata pelajaran muatan lokal (MULOK) terhadap pengetahuan pangan dan gizi serta perilaku makan siswa, Secara khusus penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan parameter pada kelompok perlakuan dan kelompok kontrol sebelum dan sesudah intervensi pengayaan dalam hal: 1) pengetahuan pangan dan gizi siswa; 2) kebiasaan makan; 3) kemampuan menyiapkan makanan tradisional; 4) status gizi (IMT); 5) proses belajar mengajar; dan 6) dukungan orang tua dalam pembelajaran The problem in education especially in junior high school is low quality of education, caused by several factors such as social and economic situations. This situations influence the food habit and nutritional status will influence academic performance of student. The purpose of the research was to study: I) The food and nutrition knowledge of the students; 2) The food habit of the students; 3) The ability to prepare traditional food of West Lampung; 4) The nutritional status of students; 5) The process of teaching and learning; and 6) The parent's suppOli. The research was conducted at junior high school in Sukau in West Lampung Regency. The research design was cluster random sampling technique, first class (VIII A) was choosen as control group and another (VIII C) as treatment group. The intervention steps were: I) The socialization for all the teachers; 2) Preparing the instructor for each class; 3) Preparing the intervention model material; 4) Determining the time and the method of teaching learning; 5) The technique for teaching; 6) Determining the control and intervention class 7) The socialization to the parent of the research class; 8) Preparing pre and post test instrument; 9) Pre test and monev; 10) Intervention for 8 week; II) Post test and analyzed the data. There were significant differences between control and treatment class respectively for: I) food and nutrition knowledge; 2) food habit; 3) ability of student in preparing traditional food; 4) teaching learning process: and 5) parent's support's. But there wasn't difference between control and treatment class for nutritionional status student.
