The objectives of this research are to analize : 1) family strength before and after relocation, 2) family stress management; family changes, family reorientation, coping strategy, and stress level, and 3) the accomplishment of economic and socialization function on refugee family of Aceh conflict. Research design is cross sectional, where the data of family strength in Aceh collected restrospectively. The research took place in Maribaya, Bumiayu, Brebes. Of 128 family victims in Maribaya district, 41 families fulfilled the samples criteria. The data were collected from April to June 2004. Applying paired samples t-test, family strength in Aceh was better than family strength after relocation. Family reorientation has a positive correlation with family strength after relocation, imply that family reorientation is important factor in family strength after relocation. More than 50% of the respondents have family life exchange on moderate level, and so does mother’s coping strategy; on the contrary, more than half of samples have high stress level. According to the multiple linier regression model, the lost of family members and family support have a significant effect on mother’s stress level. This results imply that, family support - can be acquire from family, social environment, and government- is the important factor for decreasing mother’s stress level. Aceh conflict evoke sharp decreasing of family prospherity. By using regression analysis shows that : family strength, family changes, and coping strategy influence the accomplishment of economic function of the family; while the accomplishment of economic function and social support influence parenting.
